Brittany & JD’s romantic wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I have had the privilege of photographing over the years. Their Fall wedding took place at Grassroots Vintage Venue in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on November 11th. If you want to know what love looks like, these two share it so perfectly! Their commitment to one another is truly beautiful. Their love is so outspoken, yet so humble. These two wanted their day to not only be romantic, but to be fun and memorable and I believe they did just that.
Their vibe is both modern and vintage, indie and unconventional, and their wedding most certainly fit their tribe. It was so evident to watch and document how loved they are by family and friends. These two share such a unique love that many dream of.
Now let’s talk about the details of their beautiful romantic wedding. Miki Tucker, the owner of Grassroots Vintage Venue and wedding planner did an amazing job pulling JD & Brittany’s vision together! Brittany dreamed of getting married at a bee sanctuary. Ever since she was little she went by the nickname Bee. Grassroots Vintage actually has a bee farm on their property, and their fresh honey was used as the party favor for their guests, and let me tell you, it’s the best honey I’ve ever had!
Brittany & JD not only have matching tattoos of each other’s names, they also have their wedding date of 11-11 tattooed! I love the unique touches of this beautiful couple! They shared beautiful vows, not only to each other, but to JD’s daughter Ivy! It was such a touching moment during their ceremony.
Brittany’s bouquet as well as her beautiful bridesmaid’s bouquets that were created by Uptown Grocery were to die for. The color scheme for their wedding was navy, gold, champagne, and a sage green.
Their ceremony area was under large trees, will Fall leaves that had fallen and covered the ground so beautifully adding to the romantic wedding atmosphere. Miki has collected vintage furniture for years now and used many pieces as the seating for guests which created an eclectic, vintage feel which suits JD & Brittany perfectly. Their ceremony backdrop was a hexagon with greenery that played off of the bee theme of their wedding. A honeycomb! What could be better?!?! It was the most unique and beautiful backdrop I’ve ever seen as a wedding photographer!
Brittany’s dress from designer Justin Alexander was found at Moliere Bridal! The train made for such dramatic and beautiful photos! JD was dressed in a navy suit from Men’s warehouse that looked absolutely dashing. These two were picture perfect on their romantic wedding day!
It was such an honor to be your wedding photographer, Brittany & JD!
