When it comes to wedding photography there is more to consider than just your wedding day photos. These wedding related photo sessions can help take a lot of stress away on the wedding day. You’ll be nervous and focused on looking your best on your wedding day; so these sessions will help lower your anxiety on the day of. Here are three additional photo sessions I highly recommend!
This is not one many brides think about, but it can be highly beneficial. I recommend this type of session to every single bride I meet with! This is the one session I did not do for myself when I got married and still regret it to this day. A pre-wedding bridal session is more of a dress rehearsal for the bride. You’ll see how all the accessories and details of your bridal attire work together. Also, you’ll have the opportunity to change what you might not like or notice alterations that need to be made to your dress.
This is a day for you to be pampered! You will have your hair and makeup done as well as have a bouquet made! This will give you an opportunity to make any changes and work closely with your vendors. You’ll have the opportunity to make sure everything picture perfect for your big day. This can be a huge stress relief for brides. You will already have all the little details nailed down and you will already have a wide range of stunning images of you in your dress.
Some couples may consider skipping the engagement session. In reality, this is a great opportunity to work with your photographer prior to your wedding. An engagement session is a great way for you to become more relaxed and comfortable in front of a camera (or two!) Plus, you’ll get a lot of great images that you can use for your wedding! Think save the dates, thank you cards, decorations for your wedding, etc. You can use these on social media, or your wedding website for others to see and love!
Day after sessions were a huge trend a few years back where brides would let loose in the wedding dressing. You may have heard of ‘trash the dress’ sessions. A day after session can serve as a great way to have a little more fun in your wedding attire without worrying if it gets a little dirty. These sessions are also ideal for those who have unfavorable weather on their wedding day or for those who schedule an evening wedding. This will help lower your anxiety and stress of having such a limited amount of time for photos and always end up being so much fun!
