I don’t know about you guys, but I am a sucker for an intimate wedding. They just hit all the feels, especially when its friends getting married!
I met Samantha & Brice about 6 years ago through my sweet husband! They all went to college together and spent many hours at the rock wall together.
Samantha and Brice had their intimate wedding in the heart of the Paseo District in Oklahoma City at the Old Trinity of Paseo. They certainly had differing opinions when planning their wedding. Samantha wanted a small and intimate wedding where as Brice wanted something bigger, or something completely different, an elopement!
Let me be the first to say, their intimate wedding was so dreamy. They envisioned soft, neutral colors with a TON of greenery! The style was more of a laid back, and natural which includes a lot of succulents, greenery, and soft-lighting.
One of the most special DIY elements of their intimate wedding was their memory ledge for all their family members who passed away. It was a way to pay tribute those who shaped them. Another favorite element of their wedding day was the basic elegance of greenery and air plants in the terrariums.
I asked Samantha & Brice what their favorite parts of their wedding day were and Samantha said “My favorite moments were those from our first look, once we finally got it! It was amazing to have those few minutes with my future husband to calm down and be in his arms.” Brice said “My favorite moment was our vows and first kiss! My best memory was her smile as she came down the aisle!” What a favorite way to remember their wedding day!
Samantha’s gown was the perfect, easy elegance that she was hoping for. It was a soft lace and a sweetheart neckline with just enough ruffled detail. Soft, feminine, and not overly done. The flowers were mostly succulents, airplants, and greenery with a few simple white roses. Ranunculi, eucalyptus, and King Protea was amazing! The cake came from You Need a Cake in Edmond! They actually had to come to a compromise on the cake. Sam wanted a naked cake with succulents perched on it. Brice wanted a more traditional cake. So they got a mostly naked cake with succulents attached! The “classic bridal white” with French buttercream filling was just a perfect not overly done touch! It tasted so smooth and classic the day of and I can testify to that!
I always ask my brides if they have any advice for brides and Samantha said “Don’t sweat the small stuff. I tried to be as chill as possible and it utterly failed 45 minutes before!”
